Walking in Victory

Walking in Victory

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory

1 Peter 1:8

I know some of this is review, but I would like to share some new nuggets that will help you on your journey. All of our lives we are taught the importance of sight. For with our sight we are able to navigate the terrains of life. Almost more than any other disability, not having the ability to see provides great challenges. For if you are deaf, you can still drive and get along on your own. You can read a book, get on the internet, and various other things. But to be blind almost leaves you at the mercy of others. And yet, God’s word teaches us that some kinds of sight are simply not that important.

So in reading the text, analyzing it, and having to draw some conclusion, my thoughts were arrested by the Holy Spirit as He proclaimed to me that the problem with sight is that YOU CAN NEVER DO THE IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL YOU CAN SEE THE INIVISIBLE. Because WHEN YOU ONLY SEE THE PHYSICAL YOU LIVE A LIMITED LIFE. Listen; in all of the teachings in the scriptures we see lessons that ask us to use several different functions of our body. We are told to think like God, we are told to be like Jesus, we are even instructed to hear, but we have never been asked to look. In fact, in John 20:29 Jesus almost condemns Thomas for only believing because he sees.

What could provoke a man who had walked with Jesus all those years, seen Him do wonders, ate with Him, and traveled everywhere He went doubt who He was? The answer is clear and in it you will find a great nugget. FEAR. Thomas’ doubt was routed in fear. That’s a trick of Satan because he knows that AS LONG AS YOU FEAR FOR THE PHYSICAL, FAITH FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE IS HENDERED. EVERYTIME YOU RECEIVE FEAR, YOU REFUSE FAITH. See fear and faith are polar opposites. Here is another nugget; IF FAITH CAN COME BY HEARING, SO CAN FEAR.

Faith Confession: Lord Jesus, thank you for not giving me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Assignment for the week: Write down what has paralyzed you. Pray against it.
